🛠️ The Problem

North Tallinn lacks proper outdoor resistance training options.

Current equipment is:
Too difficult or too easy
Not user-friendly
Poorly explained
Often discouraging, especially for beginners

Taavi Metsma, physiotherapist, writes:
“More and more outdoor gyms are popping up in parks and near health trails.

Rarely is there a selection of machines that you can do all the basic movements/exercises – often many machines for the same muscle group and none for others.

The descriptions on the machines are often confusing and there are also devices that no one understands, some kind of miracle inventions.

Doing exercises and adding weights is inconvenient on many machines – as if the machine is made just to be done because the city gave money, but the actual user experience is so shitty that no one really wants to work out there.

And then there’s the poor beginner who tries strength exercises there for the first time and thinks it’s that inconvenient, huh? Maybe the poor quality of outdoor gyms is rather reducing interest and activity among people than improving it. Please do better.”

💡 The Idea

Let’s create the best outdoor gym in North Tallinn — maybe in all of Tallinn!

We plan to:
✔ Install up to 10 Omnigym resistance machines, covering the full body: chest, shoulders, back, thighs, glutes
✔ Add a few machines designed for children
✔ Choose Kalamaja Park as the best location for upgrading the current outdoor gym

💪 Why Omnigym?
It’s scientifically proven: training with Omnigym is just as effective as indoor gyms.
It’s accessible, durable, and designed for real results.
And yes — it’s top-tier Finnish quality 🇫🇮 you can rely on year-round, in all weather.

🫶 Why It Matters
This gym would be:
✔ 100% free to use
✔ Open to everyone — beginners, advanced, families
✔ A step toward a stronger, healthier community

💪 Why Resistance Training Matters
Resistance training isn’t just for athletes or gym-goers — it’s one of the most effective tools for health, confidence, and long-term quality of life.

Here’s what regular strength training can do:
Build muscle and strength — so everyday tasks feel easier
Burn fat more efficiently — even while resting
Protect your joints — especially knees and back
Prevent injuries and reduce chronic pain
Support healthy aging — by maintaining balance, bone density, and posture
Boost energy, focus, and mood
Improve self-esteem and confidence — for all ages and fitness levels

Whether you’re 19 or 69, it’s never too late to get stronger.
And when the gym is right in your neighborhood, it’s easier than ever to start.

📣 What Do You Think?
We’d love your feedback before we officially submit this idea:
✔ Would you train at the best outdoor gym in Tallinn?
✔ Is Kalamaja Park the right place?

No More Excuses — Strength Should Be for Everyone

“Every major park should have a proper outdoor gym so it’s as accessible as possible for everyone. Then there’s no excuse not to work out. Definitely a great idea! 😊”

Here’s something truly inspiring:
Tiia, a 59-year-old bus driver from Tallinn, has been doing resistance training for over five years.

🏋️‍♀️ She has lost 70 kg of excess body fat
💪 She’s now stronger than many 30-year-old men
😌 Her hip pain has eased, and she no longer has to sleep only on her stomach with a pillow under her knee to cope

Less body fat. Less pain. More strength.
That’s the power of smart, consistent resistance training — and that’s what we want to make accessible for everyone.
